The Moja Library and Café in Najaf hosted Maram Al-Moussawi, the activist in the field of defending women’s rights, to talk to her about her personal experience as a “feminist” and “vegetarian” and defends human and animal rights through her various societal activities.

 

Maram is a civil engineer who graduated from the University of Kufa and started her activities before graduating from the university and to become part of important civil initiatives that calles for equality between women with men through social media and field activities, as well as promoting art through various mobile art exhibitions.

Maram shared her personal experience with the audience, who interacted with her greatly through questions and interjections, and also expressed great admiration for Maram’s courage as she advocates such opinions in the midst of a closed and conservative society.
