An electoral debate was held in Najaf on May 1, in the Najaf Chamber of Commerce hall, two weeks before the parliamentary elections, between the candidate of the Victory List, Dr. Ali Hatem Al-Hassan, and the candidate of the Al-Fateh List, Engineer Zuhair Sharba, and the debate was moderated by the professionalism of the journalist Muhammad Al-Momen.
This debate is the first of its kind in that it includes one candidate for one candidate and the public participates actively in it. A questionnaire was distributed to find out the extent of people’s participation in the elections and the extent to which the debates are useful for the development of the democratic process.
